Spring is here! (I think)

Hello everyone! The weather here has me in such a good mood, the sun is shining and i don't need my giant winter parka anymore, it's a miracle.  This week we started teaching a lot of new people! One of our new investigators is Alina, she is studying at university and is getting a masters degree in German. She is so cool and has been coming to English practice since August and we finally asked her if she would be interested in taking the lessons and she said yes of course! So we taught her the Restoration and she really accepted it and is just so interested why we are here as missionaries so we were able to testify to her and the Spirit was definitely there.  We also had a few miracles this week. One of which was getting our washing machine fixed. For the last 4 weeks, our washing machine has been broken and would flood our bathroom floor. So we just did the bare minimum and finally, the washing machine guy came and now all of our clothes are clean! Another miracle thi...

This week was a good one, again. I feel like I am running out of things to say in these emails but I will try my best.  Monday we had a family home evening with a young mom in our ward who just had a baby. For some reason, her husband wasn't there and she was really hungry and so she took us and her sleeping baby to a very nice restaurant with loud music while we tried to teach her a lesson. It was definitely an interesting experience.  We also met with another member couple. They are older and less active just because they can't really come to church because of health problems. We decided to pay them a visit and they turned out to be the coolest people ever. They are both very very smart people and they love old movies and jazz music. They told us about all the Audrey Hepburn movies and played Frank Sinatra (man it really made my week) and made sure that we wrote down to watch Moon River when we get home haha.  We got a new investigator this week! Her name is...

This week has just been another great week in Ukraine! I love being back in Pechersky! The people here are amazing and I have loved meeting with all of the members! On Monday we went to the Bartosh's. They are a hilarious older couple who love the missionaries and know us pretty well because they are both ward missionaries. We went to their house for tea and cookies and it turned out to be a Ukrainian PALACE! It was the nicest apartment ever and Brat Bartosh loves to do woodworking and so everything in his house is carved by him pretty much. It was so cool.  On Tuesday we went to Sister Vira Bevz house. She lives in a cello which is like a village on the outskirts of Kiev. It was my first time going to a cello and it was so fun! It was so quiet and peaceful. We spent the afternoon making vareniki (potato and cabbage dumplings) and eating lots and lots of food. We had to speed-eat our dessert and run through the snow to make it back to our train home. it was my first t...
