Thank goodness for Frank Sinatra
This week was a good one, again. I feel like I am running out of things to say in these emails but I will try my best.
Monday we had a family home evening with a young mom in our ward who just had a baby. For some reason, her husband wasn't there and she was really hungry and so she took us and her sleeping baby to a very nice restaurant with loud music while we tried to teach her a lesson. It was definitely an interesting experience.
We also met with another member couple. They are older and less active just because they can't really come to church because of health problems. We decided to pay them a visit and they turned out to be the coolest people ever. They are both very very smart people and they love old movies and jazz music. They told us about all the Audrey Hepburn movies and played Frank Sinatra (man it really made my week) and made sure that we wrote down to watch Moon River when we get home haha.
We got a new investigator this week! Her name is Annie, she is 19 and she has been coming to English practice since she was 14. She knows and loves all of the missionaries but has never been taught or really interested. But this week she called us asking if we could meet, she asked for advice on what to do because she needs guidance on where to find God so we gave her our opinion and told her to pray and she seems really excited to know more. She came to church for the first time on Sunday and loved it!
Our other investigator Kcenya is also doing well. She still wants to be baptized but isn't quite ready so we are going to move her baptismal date. She also came to church on Sunday and now her and Annie are best friends. They had such a good experience and stayed for the whole thing (2-hour church is the biggest blessing for missionary work!)
Love you all, have a wonderful week!
