Transfers

Sooo this week we got transfers!!! After 6 months in Chisinau im headed back to kiev to serve as a Sister Training Leader there. Im really excited to see familiar faces and to go back to kiev!!! Im sad to leave all the people here in Chisinau though, it has been a good 6 months here filled with countless miracles and life lessons. Im going to miss moldova and all my moldovan friends!

This week was actually pretty crazy just because it was also zone conference and interviews down here in Moldova so President Kumferman was here for most of the week. Wednesday we had interviews and lets just say that President Kumferman is notorious for long interviews haha. Sister Kumferman usually keeps him somewhat on track but she wasnt travelling with him this time so our interviews were a little long hahahhaha. Sister Thompson and just had so many questions for him and we were his last interviews of the day so we were spoiled with a little extra time with president kumferman (i wont specify how long our interviews actually were haha). Then on thursday we had a special moldova sisters dinner with president kumferman and us four sister here. It was a really good night that got us home a weee bit later than curfew but we were learning doctrine from our mission president so its okay. Friday was zone conference and it was all about working with members. It was great to learn how big of a role members play in the work of gathering these individuals not just into the baptismal font but into temples!!! Sister Thompson and i presented and talked about faith and fire and finding people to teach. It was amazing and i am going to miss sister thompson so much!!!

This week we also started teaching a new woman named Nina. She is from Ukraine and is really interested. She joined the pentacostal church kind of by chance and ended up staying there for many years and so she is really interested in the Book of Mormon and our message.

Saturday we had a big barbecue/church open house with members and a ton of non members. It was our big event/activity as missionaries for the month and we have been working/inviting/praying/fasting a lot this transfer. It went so well though! There were soooooo many non members and the branch did an amazing job preparing the food and giving intros to what we believe. President Kumferman even spoke and shared his conversion story a bit which was the best part. So many new people to call now!!!

Other than that i have been saying goodbye to so many of these people that i love so much! I am so grateful for all of them and for the love that they have shown for me and for the Savior. I love Jesus Christ and all of the love he has for each and everyone of us. His Atonement is evidence of His unconditional and infinite love for us. It is amazing to be on a mission and be able to experience that kind of love for these people. Im convinced that by doing His work and coming closer to Him, he gives us a little peek into the love he has for us despite the rejection and suffering he endured. President Kumferman compared it to a mother giving birth to her child. She endured pain and suffering but it all adds to the love she feels for her child and if she had to do it again, she would. I am so grateful for the Savior and His Atonement, and His beautiful gospel. Share the love with the people around you who need it!

Love you all,
