Some weeks are better than others but some are sure funny
This week had us laughing (sometimes cuz it was hilarious but sometimes because that was all we could do) and it was great to remember that small hiccups dont affect our salvation! (Unless you are my dad because he said that being dumb definitely affects my salvation)
So if you missed my last email our phone was stolen last pday and so we lost pictures and contacts and were without a phone for a minute until we convinced the zone leaders to give us one of theirs because we need one phone more than they need two hahah. Thanks elders! So that was a minor setback haha but all we could do was just laugh about it. Then everything else kind of followed suit this week. I had to fly up AGAIN to Kyiv for registration and guess who forgot the document that was needed at the registration appointment, ME! HAHA. It was stressful for a solid 20 min when I thought I would have to finish my mission in Moldova but the Lord can make miracles happen and they allowed me to update my visa and to just send the document when I got back to moldova! СЛАВА УКРАИНЕ!!!! Also sister thompson and I were the last ones at the church the other day and had to lock up and as luck would have it, she forgot the keys! So our elders had to come save us again hahhaha. Service helps people grow, so these elders are going to be in great shape after this transfer!
Even though there was rough sauce this week we also had some MIRACLES! Last fall I met Luda in Pechersky my 3rd transfer. She was a single mom with a 5 year old son and loved the gospel so much she had a baptismal date too but things went down and it was so sad when we lost touch with her. She needed the gospel so much! This week I got a text from elders serving in an area in Kiev and they said they had found her again and she said that King and Daines taught her. She is now being taught and attending church and I AM SO HAPPY! THIS WORK IS AMAZING!!!
We had 8 lessons with new potential investigators which all fell through. Every single one. HAHA. It is sad but the only comfort is knowing that we did all we could do. (Like calling literally an hour before our lesson to confirm and then them still not showing up). Times like this happen and rejection happens all the time especially in this part of the world but it is so special because in those moments we get to experience a tiny part of what the Savior experienced. Nothing we experience in this world cannot and will not compare with what He endured but going through trials brings us closer to Him.
I LOVE YOU ALL AND I LOVE THIS WORK AND I LOVE JESUS!
