One heck of a week
Oh my goodness so this week has been kind of crazy but we are back and in business after a mini mid-transfer transfer. Soooooo as you may know, my companion, Sister Osguthorpe goes home this week and there was another sister in our mission whose Ukrainian visa expired so we did a little switcheroo and Sister Osguthorpe went up to Kiev for the last week of her mission and Sister Thompson came down to Moldova with me.
On Tuesday we had to go up to Kiev to get my visa renewed (yay! I get to go back to ukraine!) and so we spent the day there with Sister Osguthorpe and one elder from my MTC group just chilling in Kiev. Then that night we flew back to Chisinau with my new companion Sister Thompson! Man this sister is a blast to be with we are just having the best time speaking Russian alllll day long (cuz it really is fun!), contacting the heck out of this city, and making crazy videos. We also just laugh all day long and testify our hearts out to the beautiful people of Moldova.
One thing I have learned on my mission is that I learn something new from each companion and each of my areas. I have done so much growing and learning in this area especially. These last few transfers here have stretched me and forced me to grow. The challenges that come with this work have brought me closer to my Savior than I could ever imagine. There have been times when I felt his arms around me while kneeling in prayer or felt him walking with me and carrying me when I thought I couldn't go on. My understanding of the Atonement has grown so much and I have truly felt the influence of the Atonement in every aspect of the work. My love for Jesus Christ is so strong and I am so grateful for him. Testifying of him to these people is such a joy!!!! The atonement is real and this gospel is real and I LOVE THIS WORK!
If you have time this week read "The First Great Commandment" by Jeffery R. Holland, it was my favorite talk I read this week <3
LOVE YOU ALL!!!
