Alina is baptized!

Image
Wow so this week was AMAZING. Honestly just one of the happiest and most uplifting weeks on the mission. There was a mixup with the other Moldova sister's registration appointments in Ukraine and so she flew up to keep her visa alive and left her companion, Sister Gunderson (my MTC comp) in Chisinau with us for a few days and it was a BLAST to be together! I would send a bunch of fun pics but our phone got stolen earlier today hahahha so I dont have any!! WOOHOOO!!!  We contacted and taught and planned this baptism this week which was really crazy and stressful but everything worked out better than I could have imagined. We had members there and missionaries and investigators and it was a BEAUTIFUL day. Alina during the service leaned over to me and said "wow there are so many people here for me, this is really cool!!!" It just touched my heart and I was so full of gratitude for the branch, and the Lord for making it so special for her. So yeah Saturday was ...

One heck of a week

Oh my goodness so this week has been kind of crazy but we are back and in business after a mini mid-transfer transfer. Soooooo as you may know, my companion, Sister Osguthorpe goes home this week and there was another sister in our mission whose Ukrainian visa expired so we did a little switcheroo and Sister Osguthorpe went up to Kiev for the last week of her mission and Sister Thompson came down to Moldova with me.  On Tuesday we had to go up to Kiev to get my visa renewed (yay! I get to go back to ukraine!) and so we spent the day there with Sister Osguthorpe and one elder from my MTC group just chilling in Kiev. Then that night we flew back to Chisinau with my new companion Sister Thompson! Man this sister is a blast to be with we are just having the best time speaking Russian alllll day long (cuz it really is fun!), contacting the heck out of this city, and making crazy videos. We also just laugh all day long and testify our hearts out to the beautiful people of Moldova....

Sorry that title is an inside joke with Sister Maisey and Moore. So hahhahahah if you are reading this right now. But it also kind of sums up our week. On Monday Sister Osguthorpe got really really sick with some sort of stomach bug so we stayed home for a few days while she recovered. We played lots of codfish (a card game that sister Osguthorpe and I get veryyyy competitive at), watched almost all the Mormon messages available on the website, and ate soooo much ramen. Let's just say thank goodness for senior couples and for their delicious homemade bread and all other wonderful yummy things they brought us while we were holed up in our apartment.  In other news, we had kind of a crazy bunch of calls from President and the assistants this week while we were lying at home. So basically my companion is going home in a week because she is finishing her mission! I am so sad because I love her and we only got three weeks together but now I need a new companion. It worked out that ...
