Happy Easter Everybody
This week was a WONDERFUL week. I seriously can't believe it. so many miracles, but I feel like I say that every week.
This week we had a last minute trip to Kyiv. Sister Olson had to do registration so we got to fly there and fly back all in one day. We had an early wake up at 3 am and didn't get home until 11 so it was a long day. When we got there we only had to do 30 min of registration and so the rest of the day we got to walk around see my old area Pechersky and do some shopping.
That same day my package from my mom arrived and I asked her to throw in a bunch of Russian "choose the right" rings because you can't get them anywhere here. Well, literally the next day we were visiting Sister Bordeo who we visit every week. she is the best member but can't come to church because she is disabled. Well, she is preparing to go to the Temple for the first time in may even though she has been a member for a long time. She is so excited and asked us where she could find "the silver and green rings that all the missionaries wear" because it is her dream to wear one when she gets her endowments. Well, I got very excited and told her my mom just sent me some! She got so happy and asked how much it was if she could pay me for it. I explained it is a gift for her and she was just so happy that "her dream can come true!" Definitely one of the highlights of my mission. That package could not have come at a more perfect time. It just shows that God has a hand in everything, even the postal service.
The other big blessing this week was our Easter Sacrament meeting yesterday. The area presidency asked for all the members to invite friends and planned a one-hour special sacrament meeting like the one we had for Christmas. Well, our whole Branch put a lot of work into the meeting. Musical numbers, cleaning the Church, setting up, planning the food, and of course, inviting people! Sister Olson and I worked really hard inviting people who we contacted on the street because we really need new investigators. On Saturday we fasted together that the people we invited would come and that we would be able to get some new investigators. Sunday came and we had 8 PEOPLE show up (2 were families)! Like, whattt? It was a HUGE miracle and now we are so excited that we have so many people to work with. The power of fasting is real and I am so grateful for the Lord's mercy on us because He really, truly, does bless us sooo generously for our small sacrifices.
This week I am just so grateful for our Savior and His life, death, and resurrection. I love Easter because we can truly focus on his resurrection and that because of Him we all can live again.
love you all, have a great week!
