Transfers (drumroll please)........
This week we got transfers again and I'm.... going back to Pechersky?!?!?!?
This week has had us all confused a little bit hahaha. I served in Pechersky for three transfers then came here to Nova D to be in the dopest trio this mission has ever seen and now we are getting broken up! Sister Flake is headed to Vinnitsya and I am going back to Pechersky haha. We were all pretty stumped and were wayyy confused because I am also going to be in ANOTHER TRIO. Sister Moore has been in Pechersky for one transfer and Sister Maisey is coming from Vinnitsya. The apartment is teeny tiny so who knows how we are all gonna fit in there hahaha.
On Monday, we went to the Vivcheruks. They are an awesome family in our ward! They invited us over to celebrate all our birthdays. They made us a feast with like 5 different types of chicken and gave us two giant pieces of cake each. Then they surprised us with presents! Like big ones! We opened them and they got us full outfits! They gave us pants haha because of the new slacks rule. We were pretty pumped so we went home and had a photo shoot, naturally.
We went to another member this week and she kept piling food on our plates. It was crazy. SOO MUCH FOOD. If we took one bite of our mashed potatoes she would come behind us with 3 more scoops. It was wild but we made it through hahaha. Thank goodness she is actually a good cook.
On Saturday we went to this guy named Massud's house. He is from Iran and cant be baptized because his family still lives in Iran and so it would put him and his family in danger. But he loves the missionaries and so he invited us all over for Persian food. I was way good. He also made spaghetti and pasta salad and Nesquik so we were pretty pumped. It was a fun dinner and he cracks us up because he is a BIG trump supporter. Who knew? haha, so he was just cracking us up the whole time with his politics.
On Sunday we had a chuda (miracle)! One of the members walked up to us with her 10-year-old granddaughter saying that she wants to be baptized. We started teaching her the lessons right then and set a baptismal date for February 9th!
This week in Come Follow Me (I'm still catching up! There is too much to study and not enough time!) I read about Mary and submitting ourselves to the will of God. I feel like there is always more we can do to be more humble and more faithful in following his plan for us. I was inspired by Mary's faith in submitting herself to the will of God in Matthew chapter 1. I am going to work this week to submit myself fully to His will.
Love you all and have a wonderful week!
