Russian Concussion

Well that's a wrap on week 3 of this transfer!

Highlights of the week:
- Taught our first lesson this week to Katia, Timofey and Bella. Katia is a less active member who's 12 year old son has been meeting with the missionaries and wants to be baptised! She wants him to wait until October so he can be baptised with his sister Bella, but he is ready and has an amazing amount of knowledge of the gospel for a 12 year old. We hope to move his baptismal date to September!
- We visited an amazing lady in our ward, Galina, who can't come to Church because she can't walk after an accident trying to save a child's life, after which she converted to the Church because she found hope and peace in a time of despair and confusion. She is so inspiring.
- We did a fun contacting activity at Maidon, the center of Kiev. If you look up pictures of Kiev, Maidon will pop up. It has an amazing history which you will see photos of if you Google it. It was scary at first to go up to people and try to have a normal conversation in Russian but it got better and better. It is still hard but I am not as afraid anymore. Haha. I'm pretty sure most of the people just stopped to be nice because I am pretty sure they couldn't understand me and I was so nervous and excited at the same time.
- For P-day today we went shopping for Veshivanki (traditional ukrainian embroidered clothes) and had yummy Ukrainian food (see photos below)!

All in all a great week in Ukriane! Love you all!

Pictures:
1. Ukrainian food at the mall!
2. So good! My favorite thing here are Vereniki they are dumplings filled with spinach or cheese or potatoes or meat.
3. Classic Ukrainian apartments.

You see things like this all over in Ukraine. This is an ad for the "computer master" and the person who made it just looked up a pic of an attractive man to stick it on there. I stopped because it was Zac Efron so I had to take a pic.
